Greetings!

Well, the 2017 Regular Season is over.  It is over!  Which is really too bad...  I feel like, if I had, 2 more weeks....  Or, maybe, 68 more weeks, I could run down ELUSIVE and take the lead.....  I could be wrong about that...

Wow.  Feels like a crazy season....  So many upsets early in the season, but then later, it was straight favorites all the way.....  HIGHZ is holding a seminar at the Drake Hotel next week, "How to have success by pounding the favorites with unwavering conviction."  Anybody going?  I have to work, sadly, but it should be fun, if you can attend....

Let's get straight to the congrats here, and stop farting around....

(Let me just say, I cannot type or spell this morning....  this could be a long process.  I'm getting a headache already.  Okay, aspirin, and coffee, hold on....)

SEASONS CHAMPIONS

3rd: GREGSLO!  Haha!  This is actually GREGSLO's Son, but, whatever....  He won it fair and square...  Congrats.  GREGSLO runs a bar that is actually north of me, which seems insane, because it is insane, but he loves it.  Huge snowmobile guy, so, this is the right place, no doubt...  His son moved to the southwest.  Very smart.

2nd: HIGHZ!  Autopicks, for the win!   Unreal.  I'm shocked that worked, to be honest.  Usually, there's enough upsets to torpedo that kind of strategy....  Well done!

1st: ELUSIVE!  Ahh yes.  He had a big lead, but I got a lot of nervous emails.

Now, ELUSIVE, This young lady will be by with your prize money, as soon as she gets her truck running....

Congrats to our Seasons's Champions!  Congrats to everyone who won a week!  

We had an actual tie!!!  How many tiebreakers does it take??  Obviously one more, at least.... Florida Boys and I, split week 12.  My sole moment of brief victory, was a tie, for a week.  After my humiliation in the Survivor Pool, all I could muster was a split of one week....  So yeah, FLORIDA BOYS and I can have a laugh about that, how a spilt of week 12, was all we could muster.  Haha!  Unreal.  

To be honest, I was really in "throw in the towel" mode, but I got so many snarky emails from a few of you, I decided to try harder, maybe around week 10, and I was actually climbing the ranks....  FLORIDA BOYS probably isn't happy about that....  He probably wishes you had let the dragon sleep....  He woulda won that week by himself....  Oh well....

Playoffs!!!  Playoffs?  Don't talk about playoffs....  You kiddin' me??  Playoffs???

Never gets old....  We're gonna talk about playoffs.....

Before we talk about Playoffs, let's take a second, and realize, that we live in a world, where the Minnesota Vikings have a BYE....  What?!?!?!  I know, I don't believe it either....  It's craziness.   So many Vikings fans up here....  I'm not gonna lie, they're getting pretty haughty, and making a lotta dipshit comments and huge proclamations...  A guy was telling me Thursday, this team is gonna win 4 Super Bowls....  Whoa whoa whoa there Sunshine....  Win ONE, okay, then you can run your mouth....  So, pardon me, but, I'm gonna enjoy it when they miss a field goal and lose next week....

Ahem.  Anyways....

Tennessee at KC.  This afternoon, on ESPN.  I love KC in this one.  As craptacular as I did in this pool, I did fine in my online action....  I mean, theoretically, if it were legal to place bets on the internet, I would have done fine....  So of course, I would never do that, but if I could, I'd have a pretty substantial amount on KC....  I know, I know, never hitch your wagon to Andy Reid in the playoffs....  I can't help myself.  KC is so much better than the Titans, it's not even funny.  this week, some Titan player was praising Mariotta, saying he "learned to overcome his coaching".  Wait, what?  Overcome his coaching???  Hahaha!  I've been chuckling about that for 3 days...  Overcome his coaching....  I love that, that another player, is not afraid, to just openly say that, and fire a shot across the coaching staff's bow, and thumb his nose....  Overcome his coaching.   Yeah, I think this team is a disaster....  Mullarkey supposedly was fired, gonezo, except they're in the playoffs, so they have to wait till Monday to fire him...

Atlanta at the LA Rams.  Oh my.  This could be a real good game.  A few weeks ago, that Philly/Rams game was a great game to watch.  Just watching, it felt like the Rams were in control the whole way, but they lost.   This could be a great game.   I'm gonna watch this one, I'm going to love it, but I'm not betting it....  I love the Rams, but I can't bring myself to bet them....

(Who am I kidding??  By then I'll be drunk, and asleep on my couch, and emotionally destroyed, from watching Andy Reid mismanage the clock at the end of the game and cost me money....)

Tomorrow, Buffalo at Jacksonville.  omg, look at this.  We ALSO live in a world where the Jacksonville Jaguars are HOSTING a playoff game.  FLORIDA BOYS is probably in his truck right now, buying 50 cases of beer, for this one....  And, for the record, good for you, it's been awhile, enjoy it.   Blake Bortles.  Blake Bortles???  Blake Bortles...  Hahaha!  I was SO looking forward to betting against Bortles in the playoffs....  And now I can't.  I feel like they're gonna comfortably win a low scoring game.   Listen, the Jaguars have a big tough D....  I've clowned on The Fraud That Is Eli Manning for years...  Go ahead and look it up....  Bortles career numbers are basically Eli Mannings Career numbers.   So, if you think Bortles sucks, that's fine, but I don't wanna hear one word about how great Eli Manning is....  and this season, Bortles numbers are a good deal better than Eli Mannings....  So.  Am I gonna have to bet on Blake Bortles?  I might....  I can't rule it out.  Maybe we see how today goes....  Make a decision tomorrow....  I mean, Buffalo....  No.  They are not winning this game.  Saw a story, "Bills Mafia is going to take over Everbank Field"...  Yeah right.  People in the Jacksonville Palm Coast Daytona Beach area don't play...  They'll be happy to give you a whuppin and send you back to your Mom's basement in frozen upstate New York...

Carolina at New Orleans....  Ohhh boy.   I'd love to see the Saints completely house the Panthers, but....  Wow.  This is another one, it'll probably be a great game to watch....  Not sure I can bet this one....  Which Cam Newton is going to show up???  Who knows....  The Packers just got totally embarrassed by these guys, when we were in a must win situation....  ugh.  Should be a great game.  I just cannot recommend a bet on this one....

Chucky!!!  Back to the Raiders?!?!?  omg...  Ahhh, Coach Gruden....  Who knows if he'll succeed or not...  Dick Vermiel and Pete Carroll seem to have done okay....

Jon Gruden, is basically my age, okay.  Couple months.  Now, if someone put on the table, in front of me, 10 years, $100 million dollars....  I'm taking it.  Hahaha!  No question.  WORST case scenario, worst, is he finishes the last 6 years $60 million sitting on his couch in his very breathtakingly beautiful home outside Tampa....  Uhhh, yeah, I'll take that.  Sign me up.

The Season is Over...

I said I was gonna keep up on the blog more....

It's only week 6....  Don't push me.  I've been a little busy.

Wow.  What a crazy season...  And we're just getting started....

Let's get started here....

SURVIVOR POOL:

Ahhh yes, the Survivor Pool.  I'm sure some of you noticed that I had 2 entries...  And they both LOST, Week One.  Yep!  Nice....  Wow.  That one stung a little bit, I'm not gonna lie....

On the plus side, if anyone thought the "fix was in", uhh, clearly, it is not...  My results in the Confidence Pool bear that out as well.  I am stinking. 

Anyways, The Survivor Pool is OVER!  We have winners!

DUKEWARR, ELUSIVE, and PACKATTACK20 will split the prize pool 3 ways.

I loved the picks, to be honest.  Atlanta??  No way Atlanta loses at home.  Nah.  Not happening.  And Denver?  Please.  No way they lose.

Alright, yes, the Confidence Pool is back....

Let's run down the winners, real quick here....

Week One: Brady 01!  In a tiebreaker, of 1 point.  One lousy point.  Wow.  Elusive is not happy about that 1 point.   Badgergil was right there also.  More on that later.....

Week Two: Badgergil!!!  See?  There was more on that later.  Toldja.  And another tiebreaker!!!  Phanatic Philly Phan was not happy about that one....  Doug Pederson, getting it done in Philly.  the former Packer Backup to Brett Favre....

Week Three: Big Headed Holy Rollers!  Hahah!  Thankfully, they survived the hurricane in Florida with minimal damage to their home, so that's good.   No tiebreaker was necessary, big win.

I'm starting to think only people with "B" as the first letter of the username can win.  Maybe Brougham76 would be a better username for me....

Week Four: Elusive!  See?  More on that later.  Maybe you don't need a B in your username....  Let the record show I was tied for the lead after Thursday, I had 16 on the Pack...  One shining moment, right??  Hahahah!  Yeah, right....

Week Five: Elusive!!!  The Rare Back To Back!!!  Nicely done....  And, no kidding, he could triple.   Indy is winning right now, as I type.  If Indy wins, it's 3 in a row.  Unreal.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

About a month ago, Roger says "We might have to look at full time officials, because of gambling".  Uh huh.  Oh really.  Yeah, when I look at the full time officials in the NBA, I mean, wow, paragons of virtue, right there....  omg....  facepalm...  Yikes.  Has anyone bothered to explain the Ideal Gas Law to Roger yet?  No?  Just checking....

I should mention, I was at US Bank Stadium, Minneapolis Minnesota, for the Vikings Lions game.  super nice facility.  Lets in a lot of light.  A lot of glass up there....

And, uhh, that place is loud.  I've been to rock concerts that were not as loud as that game....  Was a good time though.  My sister got us great seats.

The Giants are imploding....  The Fraud that is Eli Manning, out there doing what he does....  Somewhere, Tom Coughlin is having a little snicker, I'm sure....

Aaron Rodgers, probably done for the year.... Ugh.  I didn't like the hit.  I thought a few years ago, they specifically wrote it in there, no driving the QB to the ground....  So yeah, when I say Season Over, that is season over....  Rodger's amazing play, week in & week out, papers over a lot of the flaws on this team....  And, could Bennett please drop more passes?  This guy has hands of stone, I'm not kidding....

I also have never liked the 2 challenges...  Longtime players will remember my epic rant after the Cardinals Steelers Super Bowl.  The officiating was so bad, Whisenhunt ended up using all his challenges in the first quarter.   It's real simple, if you win the challenge, you don't lose it....  McCarthy of course, uses his challenges in the first half...  I mean, some basic strategery would tell you, that hey, you better save one for the second half, when it might REALLY MATTER.  Ugh. 

It didn't really matter, but still....

Can I say I love Tony Romo in the booth??  I love Tony in the booth.  Fantastic.

Packers Fans are already saying "We should get Romo!!!!"  Sure, yeah, that'd be great, but, he's got arguably the best gig in Football right now, and it pays beautifully, and, nobody is trying to kill you, or break your NASA re-engineered spine....  So, yeah, note to Packer Nation: Tony Romo is NOT walking through that door....  No.  What we have, is Brett Hundley.  And, I'm gonna go out on a limb, and say that NOBODY will be comparing him to Jimmy Garopollo 3 weeks from now....

I've heard some Jason Garrett bashing lately, and I don't like it, to be honest.  I'm not sure what they think he could do differently....  That Packer game, they held the ball for like 13 minutes in the 4th quarter, went on a 62 play drive, and scored the go-ahead touchdown with like a minute and change on the clock.  I've heard Cowboys fans saying "aww, that was waaay too much time, what a bonehead!!!"

Look, #1, they were losing at the time.  They NEED a TD.  Dak is running free, he has to score.  And, I mean,  they DO have Defensive players, who by rule, will be allowed to play defense, when the Packers get the ball....  Would it be too much to ask to have your defense make a play???  I'm not sure what Jason Garrett could have done better there.  It's not like he "botched" it, or anything....  Rodgers just happens to be an alien from another planet, who can go get a TD there with no time left....

Hue Jackson is now 1-21 as Coach of the Cleveland Browns....  Let that sink in for a second....

Yeah, I was going to blog more....  I guess that didn't happen.  My apologies...

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and all that...

Now that we're recovering, or trying to hook up that XBox One S, or what have you, let's review a few things here....

It's been a wild season....  I was hanging in there, until a 1, and a zero, and then it just went downhill....  There might have been another zero in there.... More on that later....

But first, it's time.

It's time to give credit where credit is due.  First, to the PROPHET OF THE DALLAS COWBOYS.  Of course I'm talking about Sears, now a Famous Retired Guy (FRG).

I taped over his real name, but you get the idea....  Hahaha!  Unreal...  I had zero belief in Dak Prescott.  I've seen what happens to the Packers when they put in their rookie backups....  Yikes.  You may as well put cocktail sauce on the barrel of your 45, because you're going to be sucking on it, and thinking of pulling the trigger, when you see them play.

So glad to be wrong about Dak....  So glad.

I feel like, after the Cowboys win the Super Bowl, I will matte that, frame it, and send it back to Sears, so he can hang it on the wall of his Man Cave....

Secondly....  Let's give some big props to the people who put up perfect 5 and 0 weeks.  I didn't think it would be so hard, but this is a short list.  So well done, to all of you....  Enjoy the thrill of victory....

Week 14: BIG HEADED HOLY ROLLERS.  Seriously Bro, if you don't have a Sportsbook account, you need to sign up....

Week 15: ELUSIVE.  Hey Man, Nice Job!!!  Longtime player...  Apparently all the Rugby hits didn't knock ALL the sense out of his brain....

Week 16: PATRICK686.  Wow.  I was hearing results, and I thought "hmmm, I think I'm winning my games here...", but I was too busy Christmasing it up to really look, until this morning....  Or, too busy driving back & forth... Whatever....  At least I broke out of the bottom, and can salvage some pride....  For a few weeks there, people could have made a lot of money "checkering" me, and going "anti-Patrick" against my picks....

We could theoretically have 1 more here, but hey, please accept my congrats.  Harder than I thought, to go 5-0....

It's also time to dump ridicule....  I thought long & hard about skipping this segment, but, I suppose....  This really is a backhanded way of saying, most of you did a good job here.....

These are people who posted up an 0 and 5....  the Agony of defeat.....

Week 5: GREGSLO and KCAMOSY.  Both autopicks.

Week 10: HIGHZ, GREGSLO, and PATRICK686.  Highz and Gregslo had autopicks.  I, uhhh, I actually picked that myself....

Week 12: GREGSLO.  Autopick.

Week 14: PATRICK686.  And yes, I picked it myself....

Conclusion:  I am the ONLY ONE who actually picked, myself, using my own brain, a pure 0-5.  And I did it twice, just to make sure....  I will say, those 0-5's featured a lot of winners who couldn't cover, or back door covers the other way, where, the game was long over, but late meaningless touchdowns screwed me....

Let that be a lesson to the young gamblers out there....  You don't HAVE to bet it with the spread....  You can moneyline your winner, and just take smaller odds.....  It's better to cash a smaller winner, than to throw a losing ticket in the garbage.....

The Packers have been flexed to Sunday Night btw, so plan accordingly.....

Anyways, so, with a week to go, what we really have here, amongst Gold Club Players, is this:

This is really what it comes down to, and this is an intriguing battle...  SEARS can't win, but 2nd & 3rd are right there....  Sparky and Elusive could win, if Brady was to have a disaster....  These could be hard games to pick, too....  Who is playing for something?  Who isn't?  Who is going to rest???  We just saw a Carolina team, playing for nothing, slap Washington into the dirt, on Monday Night....

I should probably point out, we will pay top 4....

And, what you see on the "Seasons Standings" page, those are the tiebreakers, in order....  So, the smaller MNF total deviation, would break the tie.  # of autopicks was the second tiebreaker, but it looks like that will not be a factor....

So, while Sears, for example, would really want to move up, he also would really like to not slide down....

The Force Awakens....

Hey, Good Evening!

Yes, Cadillac Pat here.

Since November 8th, I got a very sudden take it or leave it offer at work....  So, after flipping a coin, decided to take it.

Which it now appears was a bad decision.... I may melt that coin down, or hammer it into nothing, or whip it out the car window, or something....  Not a good decision.

So here I am, at Ice Station Zebra, a couple hundred miles north of my Pewaukee location.....

My Guy DJS moves like, every 6 months, from one Paradise, to an even better Paradise.....  How come I can't get moved to Paradise???  Wassahp wit dat?!?!?!?

I used to joke that every time I went somewhere, it was better than home, and that you really had to go out of your way to find something worse....  Apparently God, or the Karmic Universe, or something, has a sense of humor, because, ho boy, yeah, I found something worse....

Ahem, anyways, I've had no time.

But, the prizes went in the mail today, so....  Let's quickly recap our winners.  I think my last post was while the Packers were being destroyed by the Carolina Panthers.  What was that, November??

Week 9: Florida Boys!  I wanna move to Florida....  And win a week, in my own pool....  Hahaha!  2 things that aren't going to happen anytime soon....

Week 13: Sears!  Perennial Power Picker Sears breaks thru for a weekly win.  Tough season to pick.  Nice job man.
Week 14: Badgergil again!  Wow.  Nice.
Week 15: KCamosy.  Let's set the stage here.... By this time, KCamosy was leading the season.  I was in second.  Elusive was lurking, Smitty was sort of lurkingDJS and Studmonkey were in the picture... But I felt pretty good, that with 3 weeks to go, I could run him down.  KCamosy must have checked the rearview, while he was blasting Rush tunes in the car, and seen me closing, and he put the hammer down, won the week, and disappeared.  I wanna say he was the only one in the whole pool who had Detroit, on that one Monday, and they won for him.  So, that win just slapped us all in the face, like a boss.....
Week 16: Brady02!  Got a late start, but did win a week.
Week 17: DJS26!!!  Capped the season with his 3rd weekly win.  Came up JUST a tad short for the season, but still a great year....  sun was probably in his eyes, he couldn't properly analyze games.

2nd: DJS26.  Congrats, man.  Quite a season.  These young kids coming up, they have talent, and are not afraid to pick an upset.....

Speaking of picking an upset....  Remember how I said I couldn't wait to bet against Cincinnati in the Playoffs???  Thank YOU!  Thank you.  Huge win.  SO nice...  I'm so frickin busy with all this bullcrap, I didn't see one minute of the game, but.....  The result is all that mattered....

Anyways, your Season Champion is KCAMOSY!!!  Wait, what??  I thought it was between me and Smitty???  I guess not.  Smitty201 won a week, which is more than I can say....

Heavy lies the Crown, man....  You'll see.  Nah, seriously, Congrats.  Very nice season.

Playoffs are underway....  All 4 road teams won last weekend.  Crazy.  Besides the Bengals though, I mean, was there ever a weaker Division Champion than Washington???  Ohhh, the NFC East was brutal this year.  We're talking about a team that won their division, and NEVER beat a team all year with a winning record....  and Minnesota, omg, stumbling into wins all year long....  their schedule was softer than a bag of Stay-Puft marshmallows.....

Actually, I had just taken a seat at an establishment, to see the game, since I have no TV in this creepy apartment yet....  And, here's the end of the Vikings Game.  Lining up for a chip shot field goal....  And they MISSED IT!!!  This place went insane....  Pandemonium.   Seahawks fans, Vikings fans....  That's another goofy thing up here, there is a REAL contingent of Vikings Fans in the establishments....  Very strange.

Uhh huh.  There ya go.

Week 6: Studmonkey!  Hey, congrats!  May I point out that I was 5th???  I know, right??  Your Fearless Leader, celebrating a dominating 5th place finish.  I've totally given up on the Cowboys, and even that hasn't helped my picking....  We had the Memorial Moment of Silence for the Cowboys Season weeks ago.... Apparently Jerrah didn't get the memo....

Week 7: Smitty201!!  I TOLD you guys to look out....   I toldja!  You wouldn't listen....  That's okay, live & learn....  Lurking.... 5th for the Season....  I guess I'd be remiss if I didn't say that DJS26, Studmonkey, and Elusive are your leaders in the clubhouse.....  DJS has probably moved twice since my last blog, so, maybe the money will go unclaimed.....  And Elusive is permanently installed at the Butler Inn, hitting on that bartender.....  So who knows....

Game is getting ready to start.  I see this commercial, not only does this guy marry a Bears Fan, but there appears to be some disagreement about whether or not to raise this kid as a Packer fan or a Bear fan....  Are you kidding me??  Who marries a Bears Fan???  Who allows their offspring to be raised as a Bears fan???  Good God, call social services.....

Week 8: Bulldogs Rule!  omfg, again???  Nah, nice job man.  Nice.  Hey, Erin07 was second, by 1 point, and I was 3rd (3rd!!!) myself, by 2 points.  Just sayin.  Actually, Erin07 and I were at a rifle range all day Sunday, and saw no football.....  I'm not gonna speak for Erin07, but maybe I need to stop watching games....  I'll just, wax my truck or something, I dunno....

Cheerleader Update:

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, despite their season being completely over, continue to exhibit Cheerleader Professionalism and cheer for the team....  Very nice.

I can't find a Bengals Cheerleader picture....  No wonder I had no idea they had cheerleaders....  Anyways, they continue to be undefeated....  Despite my snarky comments a month ago....  Let me state clearly for the record, I CANNOT WAIT to wager against Cincy in the Playoffs.  I can't wait.  I hope they're 16-0 when they lose as 12 point favorites....

Anyways, should we try a little live blogging, during this Packer game???  Sure, why not....

So, we start off with no D whatsoever, and a quick 7-0 deficit.... How nice....  Ugh.  Dom Capers was fired, wasn't he???  No???

Diamond commercial....  It must be the holiday season, the diamond commercials are ramping up.  Some kind of best friend and love of your life ring....  Is this 2 rings?  I'm confused.  Looks like 1 ring, with 2 diamonds...  Hmmm...  Let's move on....

Wow... 3rd and 16, we allow a 56 yard pass play....  Ouch.  Unreal.  Could we get security to remove Dom Capers from the building???

Ensuing kickoff, ball is going out of bounds....  And Hyde fields it????  Why??  omg, he doesn't even get to the 15 yard line....  Coulda had it at the 40....  Shoulda fired our special teams coach.  Hold on, we did fire our Special Teams coach, this is a new guy.....  pffff!

Week One: KCAMOSY.  Nice job!  Week one is always tough, you just have no idea...

Week Two: DJS26.  Week two was a mess, but, DJS stepped in less crap than the rest of us.  One of only 5 people to take Dallas....  Against Philly, no less...  Haha!  It already seems kinda quaint, that we thought The Eagles might be a good team....

Week Three: ELUSIVE.  Nice job!  He's actually leading the season, at the moment, by the slimmest of margins....  What a week.  1 wrong.  I'm in another pool, it's like a 3 way pool, but one component of it, is a confidence pool, just like this....  There's like 60-some people.  133 would have won THAT pool.... No small feat.

Week 4: DJS26 again!  Hey, congrats!  1 wrong for DJS also....  Holy Crap.  These guys are killing it.

So, we have Elusive, DJS26, and Studmonkey, who are running away from us, for the season....

As your Fearless Leader, I'm hanging back, for the moment.  I'm pacing myself.  It's a long season.  I gotta save something for the end....  I see Smitty201 is lurking near the lead.... Be afraid, guys, be very afraid....

Cheerleader Update:

Bengals Cheerleaders help us celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness.....  I didn't even know they had cheerleaders.....

Supposedly they are 4-0.  Not to worry, they will lose their first playoff game no problem.  I already can't wait to bet the opponent heavily....

Speaking of betting, I hit both my Baseball futures.  Brewers Under, Diamondbacks Over.  Neither was close.  So that was nice.   Brewers are back to being a AAAA Farm Team.  I did see Carlos Gomez go ya-ya vs the Yankees in the absurd and ridiculous 1 game playoff....  162 games, and a 1 game playoff???  Does anyone else see the raging absurdity there, or is it just me??  Probably just me....  Anyways....

Cardinals cheerleaders are in fine form, I see....  If Carson Palmer can stay healthy, look out....  I do that same drill prior to Trapshooting Season, I stand on 1 foot, I stand on the other foot.....  What a coincidence...

Another delightful day in South Florida, the Dolphins cheerleaders take the field...  Joe Philbin, gone, see ya....  Only 4 games in.  And their new coach breaks out the Oklahoma Drill.... omg, Greg Schiano, part 2....  Place a call to Tampa, ask them how THAT little experiment turned out.... ugh.  Gross.   I sorta hoped Philbin would do well, he was an above average offensive coach with the Packers...  oh well.

A quick Hot Seat Watch: Chip Kelly probably should just hold onto his next couple house payments....  Mike Pettine better figure out a way to win a couple football games pretty quick here.....

I would say Tom Coughlin, as always, but, a contact close to the Giants Organization tells me that the Mara Family will never fire him.  He will be allowed to resign on his terms.....  So, skip him, I guess....

Speaking of the Mara Family, the lovely and talented Kate Mara is in "The Martian"...  Of course we all remember her from the classic film "Shooter"....  Wait, what??  Some of you didn't see "Shooter"???  How dare you....  Don't even talk to me....

Bad QB Update: Bears fans never liked Smokin Jay Cutler like they do now....  Not after Jimmy Clausen's epic performance!  hahahahahah!  All punts!  Not even a kneel down to end a half!  Unbelievable....  Their 3rd stringer is the aptly named David Fales....  Yikes.   GM Malpractice, right there....  You have to have some kind of viable backup somewhere.....  Packers found that out the hard way....

Okay, I've had a lot of fun over the years claiming that Backup QB is the greatest job in the Universe....  And, I'm inclined to stick with that.   My premise all along has been, you hang around, get paid a lot of money, and, if you do have to go into a game, if you are basically competent, the fans love you.

Jimmy Clausen, uhhh, was not competent.  But the checks still cash, I will note...

For at least a year now, I have felt that Charlie Whitehurst was leading the most charmed life of any NFL Backup.   He's also the son of former Packer David Whitehurst, but we won't hold that against him....  btw, Charlie Whitehurt also has the dubious distinction of wanting the Punter's number, in Tennessee.  They agreed to arm wrestle for it, and he lost.  To the Punter.  I am not kidding.  (That story has since been denied by all parties, but....)  Whitehurst is currently with the Titans, in case you were wondering...  let's take a look:



I'm not gonna lie, I LOVE the 3-year hiatus, where he is out of football......  That takes mad skills....

Doesn't really feel like it, but, Football starts pretty soon....  I'm so desperate, I've been watching the CFL games on ESPN2....  And you know what?  It's good football!  It's fun!  I'm not kidding, stop laughing....

Anyways... I did finally get an XBox One....  It's a blast.  Working through GTA V all over again started to feel like work, so, I moved on to some spirited driving....

Some "Mad Tyte JDM, Yo!" action right there....  Supra Turbo Mk IV....  And yes, that's what it looks like... Graphics & views are unreal on the new game system...  That shot there I took at the airport, in the northwest corner of the map, where you can run the car flat out, and see what it's really got.....
