VBS Sent me a Dallas Cowboys Schedule, very nice, thanks for that. The Farewell Season for Texas Stadium. The building that saw Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Drew Pearson, Ed "Too Tall" Jones, Randy White, Harvey Martin, Danny White, and in a later era, The immortal Troy Aikman, All-Time NFL Rushing leader Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin.... (Gary Hogeboom didn't make quite such an impression)...

Amazing.

It's the end of an era in Green Bay, too, but for entirely, entirely different reasons.

You seen the Packers Schedule?? Ha!! Good luck. Minnesota in Green Bay Week One. You might recall the Vikings pasted the vaunted (overrated) Giants at the end of last year, in New York... so they can beat people, and they can win on the road. Pencil in TGAR's (The Great Aaron Rodgers) first loss as a starter.

Week 2, The Pack goes to Detroit. This has typically been a house of horrors for the Green and Gold. Pencil in loss #2.

Week 3, Dallas comes to Green Bay. What could have been a game for the ages will now be an absurd blow-out. Take a Sharpie and write this one in as another loss...

Week 4, Travel to Tampa Bay. SHOULD have been facing Favre in this game, but it was not to be. Gimme Tampa in that one too.

Week 5, The hapless Atlanta Falcons come to Green Bay. TGAR (The Great Aaron Rodgers) should notch his first win as a starter here.... although it's 8 to 5 he's already on IR by that point, so, this could well be Matt Flynn's first win as a starter....

We shall see. You think the Favre hype is out of control now?!?!? Okay, when the Jets start 3-1, and the Pack starts 1-3 or 0-4, lemme know what you think THEN.... Tedly "Beady Eyes" Thompson is going to have this deal engraved on his professional tombstone.
