Week Four wrap-up...

Well, first off, congrats to HIGHZ... He was gone, now he's back, now he won a week.... Nice job buddy.

Monday Night Football, clearly was about what I expected, obvious by my Vikings for 14 pick.... This Offensive Line is... Well, it's offensive. It's awful.

I fear for Aaron Rodgers' life. I really do. He's gonna be horribly maimed before we face Minnesota again, at this rate...

Favre did not beat the Packers. The Vikings beat the Packers. I will say that, from what I saw, there's nothing wrong with Brett's arm. And yeah, it looks like he can still play. That being said, we were beaten in all phases, on both sides of the ball.

Not a great effort by Green Bay, in a much-needed division game, on Monday night. Not great.

Many of you recognize Ted Thompson, the dude on the right. General Manager, Green Bay Packers Football Club. January 14th, 2005, Mike Sherman was relieved of his General Manager duties, and Ted was hired.

So, we're basically in year 5 of this "experiment". An experiment that appears to have gone horribly wrong. Sure, I've had a lotta fun, poking fun at Tedly, old "beady eyes", over the years... But really, by now, we should be seeing some results.

For the 4th year in a frickin' row, we're the youngest team in the NFL. You can't win that way, period. Rebuilding is something that happens sometimes, and you go young, but that's a PATH to success, to get young, to build from within, but at some point, players mature, improve, and reflect an organizational attitude of winning, and pass that along to new players.

So, apparently Ted is just in perpetual rebuilding mode. And it shows. The Vikings have been a pretty sorry bunch, but thru the draft and free agency, they have improved. You draft Adrian Peterson. You get Jared Allen in Free Agency. You get Brett Favre in Free Agency. You draft Kevin Williams. You get better. You improve. You build a team.

I don't see any building here, from Ted. I just don't. Really, since Rivera and Wahl left in free agency, our offensive line has been terrible. Terrible. Ted, it's your job to get more guys. If you let the guys go, you have to get more guys. That's how it works.

This is Head Coach Mike McCarthy. Okay, kind of a gratuitous picture, heh heh. IN the 2005 NFL Season, Mike served as Offensive CoOrdinator for the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers managed to rank LAST in the NFL in points scored. They also managed to rank LAST in the NFL in Yards obtained on offense.

January 8th, 2006, Ted Thompson fired Mike Sherman from his Head Coaching duties, and named Mike McCarthy as Head Coach of the Green Bay Packers.

Again, we should see some results by now. We really should. He's had plenty of time to coach these guys up.

Mark Murphy, call your office. If there's not some discussion about the future of these two, there should be.

Enough on that. Next week, let's see.... Hmmm. Atlanta at San Fran. Hmmm. Jacksonville at Seattle. I can feel the points slipping off my sheet right now... Houston at Arizona. Dallas at Kansas City. If the Cowboys aren't going to start playing better, like, immediately, it's gonna be a long season in the house that Jerry built.... Cleveland at Buffalo, ya gotta love these battles of bad teams. The 3-1 New England Patriots fly to the Mile High City and take on the 4-0 Broncos....

Why do I feel more clueless every week??
